You need approx. 3000 calories per day.
Nutrients make you grow.

-A healthy diet low in sodium(salt) and high in potassium(bananas) reduce the risk of high blood pressure.
-Calcium(milk, broccolli) and vitamin D(milk) may reduce the risk of osteoperosis(weak bones).
Exercising, diets, and heredity also affect your bones.
-A diet low in saturated and trans fat may reduce the risk of heart disease.(#1 killer in North America is heart disease.)
Saturated fat comes from animals.
-A diet rich in vegetables and fruits may reduce the risk of cancer.
-Healthy food reduces the chances of cavities
-Trans fat is hydrogenated fat. (lard.)

-Builds connective tissues.

IRON -

-To have healthy blood, you need iron.
-If you dont get enough iron, you get anemia.
